1. Applicants must be single Nigerian citizens by birth  and possess aNational Identity Card (NIN) and BVN printout.

4. A valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, or Local Government Council—or a formal age declaration—is required.

6. Minimum height requirements are 1.68m for male applicants 1.65m for female applicants.

7. Age limits:18–22 years for non-tradesmen/women, and up to 26 years for tradesmen/women, as of 30 December 2025.

8. All applicants must have at least four (4) passes, including English Language, in no more than two sittings in WASCE /GCE/NECO/NABTEB/NBAIS Examination.

9.Tradesmen/women must also possess a Trade Test/City and Guild Certificate; details are available on the official website.

Requirement for Nigerian Army SSC/DSSC Recruitment

The Nigerian Army Short Service Commission/Direct Short Service Commission Commission requirement varies from the 90RRI recruitment.

This employment offer is meant for graduates and professionals in different fields like Accountant,Doctor,Lawyer and other professionals,even serving army officer can apply for this recruitment.

1.Citizenship: Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth, as stated in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999, as amended).

2.Age: Must be between 23 and 27 years old by 9 January 2026.

3.Health Status: Must be medically, mentally, and physically fit in accordance with Nigerian Army standards.

3.Character and Recommendation:
Civilian applicants must be recommended and attested to as being of good character by at least two recognized referees, who must be either:

A Local Government Chairman or Secretary, or An Officer of the Armed Forces not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (or equivalent), or Assistant Commissioner of Police. Referees must come from the applicant’s state of origin, and passport photographs of the referees must be affixed to the letters of attestation.

4.Applicant Must present a Letter of Attestation from their former institution(s).

5.Applicant measurement measures at least 1.68 metres (for males) or 1.65 metres (for females).

6.Applicant Must not have been convicted by any court of law.

7.Serving military personnel must have no disciplinary case and must be duly endorsed by their Commanding Officer/Commander.

8.Educational Qualification: Must possess at least a first degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) or an HND (not below Lower Credit) in the arts, sciences, or humanities from an accredited institution.

9. Only tertiary academic credentials obtained from 2017 to date will be accepted.

10.Applicant Must present a valid birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission, a Hospital, or a Local Government Council, or a valid age declaration.

11. Applicants must present a valid certificate of state of origin

12.Applicants (except serving military personnel) must present either an NYSC discharge certificate or a valid certificate of exemption

13. Applicant  Must provide valid contact addresses and telephone numbers of parents/guardians and Next of Kin.

14.Applicant  Must not have any tattoos or body inscriptions.

15.Applicants present original copies of all educational certificates, from primary to tertiary levels

16.Service Personnel (if applicable):
Must present a valid military identity card and letters of recommendation from their Commanding Officer/Commander.
Must also show official sponsorship letters for tertiary education and must have served for at least five years in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

All service personnel must declare their service status on application, as required by the Harmonised Terms and Conditions of Service. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification and may constitute an offence.

17. Applicants must not belong to any cult, secret society, or fraternity.

18.Applicant  Must not have been dismissed or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any military or paramilitary training institution.
